CTOnews.com, February 22 (Xinhua)-- Samsung is bringing One UI 5.1 to more Galaxy devices, which has exceeded many users' expectations and faster than previous firmware updates. Now, new evidence suggests that Samsung is already working on the next big One UI update.

It is found that the new Galaxy Z Fold 4 test firmware version is F936NKSU1DWB9 on the Samsung server, while the One UI version 5.1 firmware version that is being actively pushed is F936NKSU1CWB1.

The letter "C" in the firmware number is replaced by the letter "D". The change in the penultimate letter indicates a significant upgrade to the version of the One UI or Android operating system.

It is not clear which version of One UI Samsung is developing for Galaxy Z Fold 4 or Galaxy Z Flip 4. But Samsung is definitely testing the next big version of the update. It could be One UI 5.1.1 based on Android 13, or One UI 6.0 based on Android 14, and so on.

Google is testing Android 14, but it will take a long time to get a public firmware update for smartphones made by OEM makers such as Samsung.
