It is reported that the single tank of the high-pressure nitrogen tank is 11 meters long and weighs 110 tons, which is the first single equipment in China to reach the design pressure 70MPa and volume 10m ³at the same time. The design team finally chose the "tape winding" production process, using steel strip staggered winding more than 20 layers, in the working state, the failure mode of the process is "only leakage but not explosion", the overall brittle failure will not occur, and the safety is greatly improved.

The high-pressure nitrogen container is the key equipment of the key project "High and low temperature medium Test-bed". The high-pressure and large-volume nitrogen gas source needed by the test-bed is provided by the high-pressure nitrogen container. After the completion of the test-bed, the existing liquid oxygen / kerosene test pressure will be increased from 10MPa to 25MPa, and the low temperature medium supply capacity will be increased from the current 15kg / s and 35MPa to 50kg / s and 42MPa, which greatly improves the test capacity of the model products of the research institute, improves the iterative efficiency of product development, shortens the development cycle and saves the development cost. In the next step, the Institute will continue to promote the delivery and installation of equipment related to the high and low temperature media test-bed, and strive to be put into use as soon as possible.
