CTOnews.com, Feb. 22 (Xinhua)-- Battery maker SK On on Monday resumed the battery production line of the Ford Motor Company electric pickup Fmur150 Lightning, easing concerns about the quality of the company's products, KED Global reported.

SK On halted production lines at the electric vehicle battery factory in Georgia on February 5 after Ford Motor Company was conducting a pre-delivery quality inspection when an Fmuri 150 Lightning electric pickup caught fire.

"this incident is not a matter of source technology, but related to facilities and manufacturing operations," said one SK On executive. "We have put in place measures to prevent such incidents from happening again, which have been applied to the production line."

According to industry sources, the company restarted the production line within 15 days, and there was no change in the plant's facilities and equipment, which may have been caused by human error in the production process.

According to South Korean sources, with the restart of the SK On battery production line, Ford is also expected to resume production and shipment of the FMI150 Lightning in the near future.

CTOnews.com has reported that the Fmur150 Lightning has a maximum power of 563hp and an instantaneous peak torque of 1050 Nm and can achieve a maximum towing capacity of 4.5t. When equipped with an extended battery pack, the Fmur150 Lightning 0-96 km / h acceleration time is only 4 seconds.
