CTOnews.com, February 22, Nvidia recently released media comments on mobile RTX 4070, RTX 4060 and RTX 4050, but these communities and media comments on mobile RTX 4070 are not positive. In fact, the performance of mobile RTX 4070 is much slower than that of Ampere-based mobile RTX 3070 Ti.

Hardware Unboxed, a well-known YouTube digital evaluation channel, said that the RTX 4070M was too "lackluster", so they abandoned the review in the middle of the evaluation.

Jarrod's Tech shared the results of the evaluation of the RTX 4070M, and the performance was quite disappointing.

CTOnews.com learned from the test report that this evaluation model is XMG NEO 16, equipped with i9-13900HX processor and RTX 4070m GPU. The comparison and evaluation is the LEGION 5i PRO notebook, equipped with Intel i7-12700H and RTX 3070 Ti mobile GPU.

Power sampling tests show that the mobile version of RTX 3070 Ti is actually faster than the mobile version of RTX 4070, with a power of about 115W. This run uses the highest default "Tomb Raider: shadow" at 1440p resolution.

In various games, the 1440p RTX 4070M is actually 0.84% slower than the RTX 3070 Ti mobile version. Note that this result does not take into account the benefits you will get from NVIDIA's FG (frame Generation) technology.

RTX 4070M performs better at 1080p resolution. The Lovelace-based 4070M is 3.01% faster than the RTX 3070 Ti.

Using DLSS quality mode, RTX 4070M is 72.57% faster than 3070 Ti at 1080p and 53.17% faster at 1440p with FG open.
