The three Gorges Group said that the smooth acceptance of the project marks a complete success in the research and development of China's first floating offshore wind power system.

According to reports, the project has applied for 26 domestic and international patents, published 17 research papers, and trained a number of core backbone in the field of research and development, design, construction, and operation and maintenance of offshore floating wind power. The research result of the project, "three Gorges leading", was successfully connected to the grid and was selected into the National "13th five-year Plan" Scientific and technological Innovation Achievement Exhibition, and was approved by the national list of the first (set) major technical equipment (projects) in the energy field in 2021.
