CTOnews.com, February 22 (Xinhua)-- Amazon will be able to complete its acquisition of 1Life Healthcare without being challenged by antitrust law enforcement agencies, according to the Wall Street Journal. The latter is the operator of the One Medical series of primary health clinics.

A spokesman for the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) said the agency would not sue in time to block the $3.9 billion transaction, including debt, but that the investigation into the merger would continue.

Us media pointed out that this decision clears the way for Amazon to significantly expand its medical and health business and operate physical medical clinics. Amazon has been investing in health care for years, including online drugstores and other health companies.

According to financial data, Amazon's fourth-quarter net sales were $149.204 billion (currently about 1.03 trillion yuan), up 9% from a year earlier, and 12% year-on-year, excluding exchange rate changes. Net profit was $278 million (currently about 1.913 billion yuan), down 98% from a year earlier.
