CTOnews.com, February 22 (Xinhua)-- Apple has completely captured Generation Z in the United States, and young consumers are even worried about being socially excluded because of the lack of iPhone, a trend that will give the tech giant market share in multiple product categories, according to the Financial Times.

According to the latest data from advertising technology data platform Attain, generation Z (CTOnews.com note: people born after 1996) accounts for 34% of all iPhone users in the United States, while Samsung accounts for only 10%, while the proportion of non-generation iPhone and Android users is relatively average. In addition, the impact of this shift extends far beyond the iPhone,Z generation and is more likely to buy AirPods, Apple Watch and Mac.

According to Canalys, for every 100 iPhone sold worldwide, Apple sells 26 iPad,17 Apple Watch units and 35 AirPods units. For every 100 smartphones Samsung sells, fewer than 11 Samsung tablets, six smartwatches and six pairs of wireless headphones are sold. Also consider that the average price of an iPhone is almost three times that of an Android device.

Researchers who advise companies on the preferences of Gen Z consumers told the Financial Times that Gen Z users surf the Internet the most of all age groups, spending up to six hours a day on smartphones, while the dominance of iPhone is shaping the social circle of young Americans.

In Europe, although Android has a larger market share, research by Canalys shows that 83% of Apple users under the age of 25 in Western Europe plan to continue to use iPhone. As Gen Z ages, this trend is likely to grow and further consolidate Apple's market share, making it increasingly difficult for rival companies to acquire new customers and make progress.
