In January, the mail and delivery business of the postal industry completed 9.43 billion pieces, down 16.8% from the same period last year. Among them, the express delivery business volume completed 7.23 billion pieces, down 17.6% from the same period last year; the postal group mailing business volume completed 2.2 billion pieces, down 14.1% from the same period last year.

In January, the volume of express delivery in the same city completed 760 million pieces, down 28.8% from the same period last year; the volume of business in other places completed 6.28 billion pieces, down 16.7% from the same period last year; and the volume of international / Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan business completed 180 million pieces, an increase of 12.3% over the same period last year.

In January, the business income of the postal industry (excluding the direct operating income of the Postal savings Bank) reached 112.68 billion yuan, down 11.4% from the same period last year. Of this total, the revenue from the express delivery business reached 76.75 billion yuan, down 16.3% from the same period last year, while the revenue from the postal group's mailing business reached 3.03 billion yuan, down 24.7% from the same period last year.

In January, the volume of express delivery in the same city, other places, and international / Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan accounted for 10.5%, 87.0% and 2.5% of the total express business respectively, and business revenue accounted for 6.2%, 52.0% and 11.0% of the total express revenue, respectively. Compared with the same period last year, the proportion of express delivery volume in the same city decreased by 1.7 percentage points, that of other places increased by 1.0 percentage points, and that of international / Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan business increased by 0.7 percentage points.

CTOnews.com learned from the data released by the State Post Bureau that in January, the proportion of express business in the eastern, central and western regions was 74.7%, 16.9% and 8.4% respectively, and the proportion of business income was 74.7%, 14.8% and 10.5%, respectively. Compared with the same period last year:

In the eastern region, the proportion of express business volume decreased by 2.5 percentage points, and the proportion of express business revenue decreased by 1.9 percentage points.

The proportion of express business volume in the central region increased by 1.4 percentage points, and the proportion of express business income increased by 0.8 percentage points.

The proportion of express business volume and revenue in the western region increased by 1.1 percentage points.
