The report says Microsoft has switched from Electron to its own Webview2 technology from scratch, and has completely rebuilt its Microsoft Teams application using React, which is expected to be released in version 2.0 or 2.1.

The new version greatly improves performance, improves response speed, increases running fluency, and reduces memory footprint by 50% and CPU footprint is also greatly reduced.
