CTOnews.com, February 21 (Xinhua)-- there was news earlier this month that Sonos was about to launch new high-end speakers Era 300,100. now that the new device has been fully exposed, The Verge has brought official pictures, specifications, pricing details and more of Sonos Era 300s and 100s.

The Sonos Era 300's high-end Era 300 will indeed adopt the unique double-angled design shown in the renderings exposed earlier this year and will become a competitor to HomePod 2 when it goes on sale. The size of the speaker is between the current Sonos One and Sonos Five and includes a total of six drive units that can emit sound forward, left, right and up. Other features include WiFi 6, Bluetooth, AirPlay 2, built-in microphone, automatic equalizer, and USB-C audio line input.

Although Era 300 supports Dolby panoramic sound space audio, Apple Music's Dolby panoramic sound library is unlikely to be supported.

Because it is compatible with HomeKit / AirPlay 2, this speaker should be able to support Siri like other Sonos speakers. However, the speaker may not support Google Assistant in a legal battle with Google.

The Era 300 speakers can also be used as surround sound for Sonos Arc and Beam sound bulbs to achieve immersive Dolby panoramic sound settings. Although there is no built-in Ethernet, Sonos will sell a USB-C-to-audio + Ethernet dongle to provide hardwired support.

According to sources close to Sonos, the Era 300 costs about $450 (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 3096 yuan) and goes public in March.

Sonos Era 100s although Era 100s were initially thought to support spatial audio, it turns out that they do not. Compared to the Sonos One,Era 100, there is a larger bass speaker to improve the bass, and two tweeter speakers to support "true stereo".

It will be equipped with the same connection functions as the Era 300s, such as WiFi, Bluetooth and USB-C inputs. The Sonos Era 100 is said to cost about $250 (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 1720 yuan) and is expected to be launched in March with a higher-end 300 model.

Another upgrade of the Trueplay Update Era speaker is the built-in auto-tuning function, which can be automatically tuned after room analysis with its built-in microphone. Sonos calls this "fast tuning", while the conventional way of walking around the room with a mobile phone is still available as "advanced tuning" and is still exclusive to iPhone and iPad.
