CTOnews.com February 21, a considerable number of users reported that they had encountered multiple HomePod responding to Siri instructions at the same time, while normally the communication function between Apple devices would not allow this to happen, only one would respond.

Many people have multiple Apple devices, and any one of them is likely to respond to the "Hey Siri" command, which Apple naturally takes into account, and normally works like this:

Each device that hears the request lets other devices know

A device has priority.

The device tells all other devices not to respond

Priority equipment responds

At present, the problem encountered by many users is that multiple HomePod respond to Siri commands at the same time. For example, when Siri is asked to activate a HomeKit scene, two HomePod will simultaneously respond that they are "in the process of setting up", one of which will report success and the other will report failure. 9to5mac editors also tested it, and when they asked Siri to set an alarm clock, both HomePod responded, and both set the alarm clock and activated it.

It is not clear why the failure occurred, and it is reported that HomePod with the latest 16.3.2 firmware will encounter this problem, and as of CTOnews.com 's release, Apple has not officially responded to this.
