According to the latest data released by CINNO Research, China's folding screen mobile phone segment track continued to perform strongly in 2023, ushering in a "good start". In January 2023, sales of folding screen mobile phones in China increased by 54% year-on-year and 57% month-on-month.

In terms of brands, OPPO was the most eye-catching, with sales up 483% year-on-year, ranking second in China's folding machine market, No.1; Huawei folding phones, Samsung third in sales, and Glory fourth in China.

In terms of market share, thanks to the strong market performance of OPPO Find N2 and OPPO Find N2 Flip, OPPO jumped to the domestic market No.1 with a 30% share in January 2023, an increase of 22.1 percentage points compared with the same period last year. TOP7 brand market share increased the largest.

CINNO Research data also showed that vertical fold sales of folding mobile phones in China accounted for 42% in January 2023, up 2% from the same period last year. Thanks to the sales of its first vertical folding product, OPPO Find N2 Flip, which was led by sales after its launch, OPPO's share increased from nothing to 44%, ranking first.

In the 5000-9999 price range with the fastest growth in sales of folding screen phones, OPPO also ranked first with a 47 per cent share, mainly due to the fact that the price of Find N2 Flip came to 6K yuan, making the price of the folding machine more friendly to people and more obvious price advantage.

OPPO has become a dark horse in the folding screen market, and data released by third-party market research firm IDC show that in 2022, OPPO almost relied on Find N alone to enter the top three positions in the market, and quickly approached Samsung's market position. This product also dropped the price of folding mobile phone products to the 7K level for the first time, with obvious performance-to-price advantages.

The new Find N2 & Flip folding screen phone was released by OPPO at the end of last year. Data show that during the last week of 2022, during the launch of Find N2, OPPO ranked first in the market with a 40.5% share, while OPPO's first vertically folded new product, the Find N2 Flip, ranked first in the domestic folding mobile phone market in that month, reflecting the popularity of OPPO folding screen products.
