CTOnews.com February 20 news, CINNO Research released a report today that in January 2023, sales of folding screen phones in China increased by 54% year-on-year, 57% month-on-month, and continued to grow year-on-year and month-on-month. Previously, the Chinese market sold 2.83 million folding screen phones in 2022, a year-on-year increase of 144.4 per cent.

In terms of market share, in January 2023, OPPO ranked No.1 in the domestic market with a 30% share, an increase of 22.1% over the same period last year. Top7 brand market share increased the largest, mainly due to the strong market performance of OPPO Find N2 and OPPO Find N2 Flip. Its folding phone penetration increased to nearly 4%, up 3% from the same period last year.

Huawei's market share reached 25.7%, down 33.2 percentage points from the same period last year. With the continuous expansion of the domestic folding mobile phone market and the introduction of more and more new products, Huawei's dominant situation of folding mobile phones has been broken, gradually forming a "tripod" market pattern.

Samsung's market share is 23.2%, down 0.5% from the same period last year. Relying on its machine-sea tactics in the Chinese market, Samsung's market share is stable.

Glory's market share is 12.8%, up 9.8% from the same period last year, and the market performance of its new folding model Magic Vs is significantly better than that of its previous generation.

The market share of Xiaomi / vivo is 4.8% and 2.7% respectively.

In terms of folding screen form, vertical folding sales of folding mobile phones in China accounted for 42% in January 2023, up 2 percentage points from the same period last year.

In terms of price, CTOnews.com learned from the data released by CINNO Research that in January 2023, the sales of products worth more than 15000 yuan in China's folding mobile phone market accounted for 12%, down 26 percentage points from the same period last year; the proportion of sales in the price range of 10000-14999 yuan dropped to 7% from 12% in the same period last year, accounting for a sharp increase of 31 percentage points, more than 80% to 81%.
