On the same day, with the wind speed measurement in line with the standard, the 3200-ton crane slowly lifted the outer dome weighing about 420 tons off the ground, and after a series of high-precision movements such as amplitude change, hook lifting, walking translation, adjustment, and so on, the hook fell smoothly on the outer shell of the reactor building.

The steel lining of the outer dome of this hoisting is the main steel structure, which is located at the top of the nuclear island. It is a multi-curved composite shell with a diameter of about 55 meters and a height of about 13 meters, which is composed of 89 prefabricated elements in five layers. the main function is to serve as a concrete formwork at the top of the outer dome. CTOnews.com learned that the inner dome of the unit has been hoisted in October 2021, and the inner and outer domes correspond to Hualong No. 1 double-layer containment, and this "coronation" will further improve the safety of the unit.

CNNC said that Hualong-1 is the only third-generation nuclear power project in the world to be completed and put into operation on schedule, and the first batch of four units have been completed and put into operation, indicating that China's nuclear power technology level has been among the forefront of the world. At present, the batch construction of Hualong-1 in China is progressing smoothly, and it has become one of the most competitive third-generation nuclear power models in the world nuclear power market.

According to reports, each nuclear power unit of Hualong 1 generates more than 10 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity per year, which can meet the annual production and domestic electricity needs of 1 million people in moderately developed countries; at the same time, it is equivalent to reducing standard coal consumption by 3.12 million tons and carbon dioxide emissions by 8.16 million tons per year, equivalent to afforestation more than 70 million trees.
