▲ Tu Yuan: the Shanghai East China Princess Dapeng, owned by China Shipbuilding Group, is the fourth generation LNG ship in the world's largest shallow water channel, with a total length of 239m and a width of 36.6m. It is classified into the double classes of China Classification Society (CCS) and American Classification Society (ABS).

Shanghai East China said that the "Dapeng Princess" is the world's similar class of cabin capacity LNG ship design draught is the shallowest. CTOnews.com learned that its unique design draught is less than 8.5m, connecting the river to the sea, and has excellent seaworthiness, especially in the dry season, it can also enter the Yangtze River and Pearl River basins in China, serving a wide range of areas.

At the same time, this type of ship adopts unique double stern fin line type, excellent fast performance, good course stability, high safety and reliability, and adopts double main engine double propeller propulsion and double rudder system control, which has the strongest navigation and handling ability among LNG ships of the same class in the world. With highly flexible transshipment compatibility, it can realize liquid cargo transshipment from 30,000 cubic meters of small LNG carriers to 174000 cubic meters of large LNG carriers with a wide range of ship types, providing customers with flexible and diversified two-way transshipment solutions.

According to reports, the "Dapeng Princess" is the first LNG ship invested and built by Shenzhen Gas. It will work in the Dapeng Bay area with three "predecessors" and become a new member of the "Dapeng system" built by China in East Shanghai. It will undertake the important mission of serving Shenzhen's natural gas reserves and peak-shaving depots, and will effectively improve the utilization rate of the reserves, expand its peak-shaving efficiency, and further improve Shenzhen's gas energy supply capacity.
