CTOnews.com, February 19 (Xinhua)-- Twitter laid off some of its advertising sales staff on Friday, the company's latest round of layoffs, according to three people familiar with the matter, The Information reported.

It is not yet possible to determine the scale of the layoffs. The Information previously reported that as of the end of last month, Twitter had about 800 sales and marketing employees, compared with a total of about 2000. When Musk first took over Twitter, the company had about 7500 employees.

CTOnews.com has learned that Twitter revenues have fallen sharply since Elon Musk bought the company in October. Earlier this year, Twitter restructured its sales team in an effort to boost revenue.
