CTOnews.com February 18 news, NVIDIA mobile version RTX 4090 after using TSMC's 4N process, overclock performance can exceed desktop RTX 3090 Ti. Foreign technology media Notebookcheck and Reddit user Kelzs have been tested to prove this point.

The desktop RTX 3090 Ti GPU scored an average of 21645 points on the 3DMark Time Spy test. Notebookcheck, a foreign technology media, tested the mobile version of RTX 4090 (possibly factory overclocking) on MSI Titan GT77 game book, scoring 22254 points; after overclocking at 250+ MHz on Razer Spirit Blade 18, the score was 22339 points.

Another notable thing is that the mobile RTX 4090 has a power wall setting of 175W, while the desktop RTX 3090 Ti has a TGP of more than 400W. Admittedly, the mobile RTX 4090 is more than twice as expensive as the desktop RTX 3090 Ti, but this performance should satisfy many mobile players.

CTOnews.com learned from the test results that the performance gap between mobile and desktop has widened. According to Time Spy test results, the RTX 3080 Ti laptop GPU and desktop RTX 3090 performance gap is about 57%, between desktop RTX 4090 and laptop RTX 4090 performance gap is about 62%.
