CTOnews.com, February 18 (Xinhua)-- Market research firm As You Sow released a list of the "Top 100 highest paid CEO" this week, with Apple CEO Tim Cook ranked 10th with $98734394.

The compensation package evaluated in the above table is based on the compensation plan voted by shareholders prior to June 30, 2022. In some cases, CEO may be paid more. CTOnews.com reminder: the compensation in the following table is not in order. After consulting the relevant information, some CEO takes stock awards into account, but the list is ranked according to the absence of stock awards.

We can also see some familiar CEO on the list, where Intel CEO Patrick Geelsinger (Patrick Gelsinger) earns $178590400, including some stock awards. Amazon CEO Andrew R.Jassy earns $212701169.

Apple CEO Tim Cook cut his salary by 50% to about $49 million from $99.4 million in 2022 and $98.8 million in 2021 in the face of shareholder opposition.

In this list, the average compensation of CEO at these companies is $38192249, up 30.6% from last year's average of $29233020. The median salary (excluding stock awards and other factors) was $23455188, an increase of 8 per cent over the previous year.

CTOnews.com also learned from the report that, according to AFL-CIO, the median pay of chief executives of S & P 500 companies is 324 times that of their employees, up from 299 times in 2020 and 264 times in 2019.

Amazon's proportion is the most exaggerated, with CEO Andrew Jassy's total compensation of $212.7 million, while employees' median compensation is $32855, with a ratio of 6474.
