Geekbench, the scoring software, does not seem to reflect the advantages of the R9 7950 X3D's large cache, and the cache size is not recognized correctly. R9 7950X3D has similar single-nucleus score to R9 7950X, but less multi-nucleus score than R9 7950X.

In terms of parameters, the 16-core R9 7950 X3D acceleration frequency can reach 5.7GHz, the L3 cache is 128MB (64MB +64MB 3D V-Cache), and the default TDP is 120W. In contrast, the R9 7950X, which is now on the market, is also 16-core, with an acceleration frequency of 5.7GHz, a L3 cache of 64MB, and a default TDP of 170W.

On the Geekbench platform, the R9 7950X, which has higher power consumption by default, has a higher running score. But in some cache-sensitive games and applications, the R9 7950 X3D will undoubtedly perform better.

The R9 7950 X3D will go on sale Feb. 28 for $699 (currently about 4788 yuan).
