CTOnews.com, February 17 (Xinhua)-- Ehang Intelligence announced that its manned autopilot vehicle EH216 has completed its first manned autopilot flight in Japan, marking the first manned flight of an autopilot electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft in Japan. With the approval of Japan's Ministry of Land and Transport, EH216 today carried two passengers and completed a flight along the coastline of Tanhiura Beach in Oita city without a pilot.

CTOnews.com learned that the domestic EH216-S is a manned self-driving electric vertical take-off and landing vehicle (eVTOL). Before that, all airworthiness certification programs of Yihang EH216-S flying vehicles have been officially approved by the Civil Aviation Administration of China, and the airworthiness certification process has entered the final stage of compliance verification. According to the official website, Yihang AAV flight taxi fuselage height 1.85m, fuselage width 5.63m, maximum load 220kg, full load maximum range 30km, maximum cruising speed 130km / h. Using pure electric energy, it can be filled in two hours.
