At present, the price of battery-grade lithium carbonate is as high as 470000 yuan per tonne. If the battery can be purchased at a cost of 200000 yuan per ton, the cost of car companies will be greatly reduced. According to informed sources, these customers are companies with good shipments predicted by Ningde Times, and Tesla is not one of them. The signing of the cooperation will begin in the third quarter of this year, and some car companies are already in the process of signing the cooperation.

At the same time, the Ningde era also asked for a price cut of about 10% to the upstream. Some material suppliers said that in the past, the gross profit of Ningde era was higher, and it was rare to carry out such a big price reduction demand.

The Ningde era move also bothers other battery manufacturers. However, some second-and third-line battery manufacturers have begun to respond. It is reported that Honeycomb Energy, owned by the Great Wall, has also launched a 10% price reduction plan, and some suppliers have received e-mails asking for a price reduction.
