CTOnews.com, February 17, China Mobile's first distributed photovoltaic power generation project for large data centers has been officially put into operation. The project is located in China Mobile Dabailou data Center, 8 Tuanhe Road, Daxing District, Beijing, with a total installed photovoltaic capacity of 362.88kWP (CTOnews.com Science Popularization: kWP is the peak total power of solar photovoltaic cells).

According to reports, the project will save more than 3,000 tons of standard coal and reduce about 10,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions during its production life, so as to achieve the effect of energy saving and emission reduction.

According to China Mobile, the Dabailou data center in Daxing District of Beijing is an important data center for the company, with about 4700 cabinets installed and is a "major user" of electricity.

It is reported that the project effectively uses the vacant area of about 3000m ²on the roof of three floors in the data center, and customizes a variety of optimization schemes, such as special inclination, support form, grid access, and so on, combined with the special scene of the data center, and the design life is up to 25 years.

It is estimated that the annual power generation of the power station can reach 400,000 kilowatt-hours, equivalent to saving an average of 138 tons of standard coal every year, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by nearly 400 tons, sulfur dioxide by 11.5 tons, and carbon dust by 104 tons.
