CTOnews.com, Feb. 17-many of Apple's Apple Store stores in the United States offer a two-hour delivery service for $9. However, in the past few years, the service has received a lot of complaints from users, the two biggest problems are product theft and difficult refund.

A netizen living in California recently complained in the Reddit community. CTOnews.com summed up the things as follows:

The netizen ordered an iPhone 14 Pro Max and an Apple Watch Ultra through Apple Store at a total cost of $2098 (currently about 14371 yuan). The order requires delivery on the same day.

For some reason, the order is delivered by Uber Eats takeout staff. But the delivery man stole the cell phone and watch from the order.

The netizen later contacted Uber, but officials did not provide a reasonable solution to the matter. The netizen contacted Apple's after-sales service again, but the official reply was: "our operator has completed the required investigation and Apple will not take further action." The meaning between the lines is to refuse a refund.

Apple launched its same-day delivery service in major cities in the United States in 2019. Previously, the service was mainly delivered through the Postmates platform, but after the latter was acquired by Uber in 2020, Uber Eats takeout staff also joined the delivery team.

Foreign technology media MacRumors believes that the fundamental problem is that delivery partners such as Apple and Uber have not taken sufficient measures to prove that the order has indeed been delivered, resulting in theft, and the relevant burden of proof has been transferred to the user.
