9to5Mac found in the iOS 16.4 Beta code released to developers today that Apple is adding data on the power consumption of the round-the-clock display feature in its "setup" app. This means that users will see a new category specifically for round-the-clock display in the battery menu, similar to the specific category that it has already shown for personal hotspots and no signal coverage.

It is not clear whether this feature has been enabled in this beta, as it may take at least a few hours before iOS has enough statistics to detail the power consumption data displayed around the clock.

According to some comparative tests, the round-the-clock display function can drain 20% of the power of the iPhone 14 Pro within 24 hours. If users choose to enable round-the-clock display without using wallpaper, the phone consumes about 14% of its batteries at the same time.
