CTOnews.com February 16 news, Kubuntu Focus Team today released "Focus NX GEN 2," a pre-installed Kubuntu 22.04 LTS, similar to Intel NUC mini host.

The machine is equipped with 16 cores of Intel 12th generation Core i7- 1260P processor, up to 64GB of DDR4-3200 memory, 2TB of NVMe primary solid state drive and up to 4TB of secondary SATA solid state drive.

Team leader Mikowski said:

Good hardware is only part of success. As with all our systems, we continuously test and optimize hardware performance through regular software package upgrades.

NX GEN 2's hardware support subsystem adjusts iGPU configurations to minimize stuttering and maximize performance. We also tweaked performance and kernel configuration for eGPUs, all of which were rigorously tested.
