CTOnews.com February 16 news, AMD today upgraded the sharp dragon overclocking tool Ryzen Master, mainly fixed the "CVE-2022-27677" high-risk vulnerability. AMD said hackers could exploit the vulnerability to escalate privileges and execute arbitrary code.

AMD said in an official announcement:

Unable to validate permissions effectively during installation of AMD Ryzen ™Master, causing low-privilege attackers to modify files, gain higher privileges, and execute arbitrary code.

AMD fixed the vulnerability in December and did not disclose information about the vulnerability until today. AMD recommends that users of Windows 11 and Windows 10 update to the latest version of Ryzen Master 2.10.1.2287 as soon as possible.
