The single-disk My Book can now choose the storage space of the 22TB, while the dual-disk My Book Duo now has amazing 44TB storage space, which is the largest consumer-grade desktop external hard drive in the company's history.

Western Digital said it expanded the storage space for these products because it found that the average US household has more than a dozen connected devices and can now back up multiple devices without worrying about not having enough storage space.

It is reported that My Book is more suitable for backing up photos and videos and files, as well as other portable storage devices. The My Book Duo is a more advanced hard drive that can be used for full system backup and is optimized for RAID. Running at a higher speed, you can choose to set it to RAID-1, or two separate drives.

CTOnews.com learned that My Book comes with backup software that helps keep users' previous files secure, as well as 256bit AES hardware encryption and password protection. These two hard drives can be used on both Windows and Mac, but My Book Duo is formatted as Windows out of the box, but you can download MacOS's NTFS driver through software if necessary.

In terms of interface, one USB-C 3.0and two USB-A 3.0s are provided, the transmission rates are all 5Gbps, and Cmurc and Cmura transfer lines are attached.

In terms of price, 22TB's My Book sells for $600,000 (currently about 4110 yuan), while 44TB's My Book Duo costs as much as $1500 (currently about 10275 yuan).
