The point-to-point navigation assistant PPA (Point to Point Autopilot), the core function of Jidu high-level intelligent driving system, was officially launched in October 2022. Wang Weibao said: "at present, the Jidu intelligent driving team has entered the sprint stage of functional development, and has carried out scene generalization in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. It has realized the functions of bypassing obstacles in the driveway, automatically passing around the island, automatically merging lanes and so on."

The generalization test of intelligent driving in Shanghai was launched in October 2022, which mainly includes "unprotected left turn", "avoid in the lane", "avoid pedestrians", "highway section", "confluence automatic lane change", "off ramp" and so on. The Guangzhou Intelligent driving generalization test was launched in December 2022, mainly including "identifying the right side bus plug", "automatically passing through the roundabout", "avoiding the retrograde electric motorcycle", "continuously parallel into the auxiliary road", "identifying the automatic start and stop of the traffic lights", "converging into the same lane with the right turn" and so on.

Set official information shows that its high-level intelligent driving has the "three-domain integration" ability to cover high-speed, city and parking, and the coverage of PPA applications is in the lead in China. Despite the use of "lidar" + "visual" redundancy scheme, the PPA function still depends on high-precision maps in the early stage. Jidu does not introduce the specific functions of PPA, but it is certain that the PPA features will be delivered synchronously with ROBO-01.

CTOnews.com learned that in terms of product rhythm, Jidu ROBO-01 and lunar exploration version will start delivery in the second half of this year, of which the limited version of lunar exploration has taken the lead in the market with a price of 399800 yuan. At present, Jidu has signed a cooperation agreement with three-body Universe and plans to launch a "three-body" car robot this year. Jidu also announced that it will integrate the comprehensive ability of Baidu Wenxin.
