CTOnews.com February 16 news, today, Intel launched a new Intel Sapphire Rapids Xeon WMY 3400 and Intel Xeon Wmai 2400 series of desktop workstation processors, including Intel's most powerful desktop workstation processor to date, Xeon W9-3495X.

These new Xeon processors feature a groundbreaking new computing architecture, a faster core, and a new embedded multi-chip interconnect bridging (EMIB) encapsulation technology, while Xeon Wmurt 3400 and Xeon Wmai 2400 series processors will also bring unprecedented scalability.

The Xeqiang Wmur3400 and Xeqiang Wmur2400 series of workstation processors will be available for pre-order from February 15, and the system will be available from March. According to reports, the recommended customer price range for this batch of processors ranges from $359 (currently about 2452 yuan) to $5889 (currently about 40222 yuan).

The new generation of Xeon processors support DDR5 RDIMM memory, PCIe Gen 5.0and Wi-Fi 6e, as well as Intel vPro technology, ECC memory, and reliability, availability and maintainability (RAS) technology to ensure maximum workstation uptime.

According to reports, the single-socket Intel Xeon W9-3495X processor contains up to 56 cores, supports Rui Frequency acceleration Max technology 3.0, and its frequency can reach 4.8GHz, and it also uses a redesigned memory controller and a larger L3 cache, which improves single / multithreaded performance by 28% and 120%, respectively, compared with the previous generation. Intel said other platform features of the series of processors include:

L3 cache up to 105 MB for enhanced performance and data management

Supports 8-channel DDR5 RDIMM memory with capacity up to 4TB and provides higher memory bandwidth for large datasets and memory-intensive loads

Support for ECC memory and RAS technology to improve the integrity of critical data and system reliability

The Zhiqiang WMY 3400 has up to 112 PCIe Gen 5.0channels from CPU and up to 64 QWMY 2400s, which can be used for multiple GPU, SSDs and NICs.
