China Telecom Tianyi Cloud's self-developed operating system CTyunOS based on openEuler has outstanding performance in three dimensions: application scale, demonstration and promotion value, and technology leadership. Successfully selected into the top ten "2022 openEuler leading Business practices".

According to China Telecom, since the launch of CTyunOS, more than 50,000 sets have been deployed nationwide, supporting a variety of business scenarios such as public cloud, private cloud, IT cloud and one city, one pool, etc., running stably and reliably, realizing full cloud network coverage.

According to CTOnews.com query, CTyunOS was first released at the 2021 operating system Industry Summit and adopted the Euler kernel. China Telecom Tianyi Cloud independently developed virtualization enhancement components, cloud platform components, compiler tool chain and development environment, which is a customized and enhanced version for in-depth optimization of cloud computing scenarios.

In order to speed up the deployment progress of CTyunOS, China Telecom, through joint efforts with the openEuler community, provided a complete migration plan in 2022, including the establishment of a migration support organization, migration analysis, scheme design, migration adaptation, relocation implementation and test launch. At the same time, with the help of x2CTyunOS migration evaluation and in-situ upgrade technology, realized the "simple, stable and efficient" replacement of the panoramic business.

According to reports, China Telecom Tianyi Cloud has also independently developed some key achievements in system kernel, cloud key technologies, hot patches and so on. For example, with the improvement of China Telecom Tianyi Cloud Technology team, several key performance indicators of CTyunOS kernel have been comprehensively improved. Compared with CentOS7.6, CPU scheduling latency has been reduced by about 5%, storage critical path reads and writes per second have been increased by about 3%, and container deployment density has also increased by about 3%.

The China Telecom team also launched the memory rating feature in the openEuler community, which can effectively reduce the cost of servers in cloud business scenarios, and created the enhanced feature of bond6, which solved the industry problem that IPV6 could not use bond6 normally for the first time.

In terms of security, CTyunOS, in conjunction with the openEuler community, released the industry's first user-mode hot patch tool to support Kunpeng chips, and it is also the first patch tool to support the galleys 18 feature, and contributed to the openEuler community. Currently, online 20000 + hot patch fixes have been implemented.

At present, CTyunOS has been adapted to the computing, storage, network, management and other nodes of Tianyi Cloud Infrastructure Service (IaaS) cloud platform. It can be used as server operating system and virtual CVM operating system, and can support big data, database, web service and other scenarios. After deploying the full-stack end-to-end optimized CTyunOS system, the comprehensive service performance of China Telecom Tianyi Cloud has been improved by more than 10%.
