CTOnews.com February 15 news, online game platform Roblox today released the fourth quarter of 2022 and full-year results. Roblox reported fourth-quarter revenue of $579 million (currently about 3.955 billion yuan), up 2% from a year earlier. The net loss attributable to common shareholders was $289.9 million (currently about 1.98 billion yuan), compared with a net loss of $143.3 million (currently about 979 million yuan) in the same period last year.

For the whole of 2022, Roblox's revenue was $2.2 billion (currently about 15.026 billion yuan), up 16% from a year earlier. The net loss attributable to common shareholders was $924.4 million (currently about 6.314 billion yuan), compared with a net loss of $491.7 million (currently about 3.358 billion yuan) in 2021.

Fourth quarter results:

Revenue was $579 million, up 2 per cent from a year earlier. If the effect of exchange rate is excluded, it will increase by 3% compared with the same period last year.

Revenue costs were $142.4 million, compared with $152 million a year earlier.

Total costs and expenses were $880.9 million, compared with $708.4 million in the same period last year.

The operating loss was $301.9 million, compared with an operating loss of $140 million in the same period last year.

The net loss attributable to common shareholders was $289.9 million, compared with a net loss of $143.3 million in the same period last year.

In the fourth quarter, the average number of daily active users (DAU) of Roblox was 58.8 million, up 9 per cent from a year earlier.

2022 results:

Revenue was $2.2 billion, up 16% from a year earlier. If the exchange rate effect is excluded, it will increase by 17% compared with the same period last year.

The net loss attributable to common shareholders was $924.4 million, compared with a net loss of $491.7 million in the same period last year.

In 2022, the average number of daily active users (DAU) was 56 million, an increase of 23% over the same period last year.
