This energy station is upgraded from the Sinopec fuel oil company Dalian Shenggang oil and gas hydrogen electric suit "five in one" comprehensive energy station, which can produce 1000 kilograms of 99.999% high-purity hydrogen every day.

CTOnews.com learned that hydrogen production from methanol is a technical route for hydrogen production. China is the largest methanol producer in the world, with 60% of the global methanol production capacity. Because methanol is rich in sources, low in cost, and easy to store and transport as a liquid at room temperature and pressure. Compared with other hydrogen production methods such as industrial hydrogen production, methanol hydrogen production has lower energy consumption and cost.

At present, the storage and transportation of hydrogen is the key link restricting the development of hydrogen energy industry. Hydrogen refueling stations in China mainly rely on long-tube trailers for transportation, but the limitation of equipment makes hydrogen transport capacity low, high cost, long loading and unloading time, and low comprehensive energy efficiency. Sinopec methanol on-site hydrogen production project provides a feasible solution.

The methanol hydrogen production and hydrogenation unit in the station can produce 500 standard cubic meters of hydrogen per hour, and the "pry block station construction mode" is adopted. the site utilization rate is the highest in the country, and the main equipment covers an area of only 64 square meters. traditional equipment of the same hydrogen production scale covers an area of more than 500 square meters. The layout of the project is convenient, the construction period is short, and it is beneficial to popularize and copy. At the same time, due to the lower cost of methanol and more convenient and economical transportation, hydrogen production and hydrogenation in the station reduces the requirement of hydrogen storage capacity. Considering the cost of production, storage and transportation, the cost of hydrogen consumption of the project is greatly reduced.
