Major General Ding, a senior observer of the home appliance industry, pointed out that Lin Lan, who was born in 1958 and belongs to the post-50s generation, is only one year younger than Zhou Houjian and now reaches the retirement age of 65. According to Hisense sources, when he handed over the post of chairman to Lin Lan, Zhou Houjian had two considerations:

First, Hisense is rapidly growing into a world-class enterprise and needs a leader with an international vision; second, according to the principle of continuous improvement of management, Hisense needs to change a way of management.

Looking back on the past 2022, although Lin Lan is the nominal leader of Hisense holding Group, the actual operation of the group is the "two giants" governance pattern of Lin Lan and Jia Shaoqian.

With the official takeover of the post of chairman of Hisense Group, the Jia Shaoqian era of Hisense Group officially opened.

Standing at a new starting point, the new Hisense leaders are also facing new problems and challenges.

Previously, Jia Shaoqian announced the company's vision in 2021-Hisense Group will accelerate towards the goal of 300 billion yuan in revenue in 2025. However, by 2022, the operating income of Hisense Group is 183.5 billion yuan, which is still a long way from 300 billion yuan.

At present, Hisense Group mainly has three listed enterprises: Hisense Video, Hisense Electric and three Electric Machinery Control. It has many brands such as Hisense, Toshiba TV, Guloni, Cologne, Rongsheng and ASKO. In addition to the advantages of Hisense Video's color TV business in the global market, Hisense Electric Appliances and other brands are not only facing competition from major household appliance brands such as Midea, Gree, Haier and TCL, but also facing the impact of overseas brands such as Samsung and Sony.

In the view of Liang Zhenpeng, a senior industrial economic observer, "in the short term, Hisense Group will still focus on home appliances and diversify in the technology industry, but it will not rush into a completely unfamiliar field."
