CTOnews.com, February 14, according to the statistical analysis of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, in January 2023, the total sales of the top 10 new energy vehicle sales were 354000, an increase of 5.8 percent over the same period last year, accounting for 86.7 percent of the total new energy vehicle sales, 10 percentage points higher than the same period last year.

According to reports, the manufacturer with the highest sales of new energy vehicles in January this year is BYD, with sales reaching 151341 units in January, an increase of 62.44 percent over the same period last year. In addition, Tesla sold about 66000 vehicles in January, up 10.4% from a year earlier and 18.4% from a month earlier.

The China Automobile Association pointed out that of the above 10 companies, BYD's sales were the most significant, while Changan's sales growth was the most significant, nearly double that of the previous year.

With the exception of new energy vehicles, the total sales of the top 10 enterprise groups in January this year were 1.379 million, down 35.3% from the same period last year, accounting for 83.6% of total car sales, down 0.4% from the same period last year.

In January this year, the top 10 companies in car sales were SAIC, FAW, Chang'an, BYD, Guangzhou Automobile, Dongfeng, Geely, Chery, BAIC and Tesla.

Among the ten enterprises, compared with the previous year, only BYD's sales growth rate achieved positive growth, while other enterprises showed varying degrees of decline.

According to the latest retail sales statistics of the Federation of passengers, retail sales in the domestic narrow passenger car market reached 1.293 million in January, down 37.9% from the same period last year and 40.4% from the previous month. Sales of new energy vehicles reached 332000 in January, down 6.3 percent from the same month last year and 48.3 percent from the previous month.

CTOnews.com simply picked a few models that people are more concerned about. BYD Song's January sales rose 139.9% over the same period last year, followed by 17582 BYD dolphins, up 65.8% from the same period last year. Wuling Hongguang MINIEV sales fell to 16416.

In addition, Tesla Model 3 sales reached 12659, while Model Y reached 14184, M5 was 2732, ideal L8 and L9 were 6099 and 7996, respectively, and Weilai ET5 reached 5795.
