It is reported that Haoyue Capital acts as the exclusive financial adviser to the seller in this transaction.

Baidu said that after the completion of this acquisition, GBI will become an important boost and key growth engine for Baidu's large Health Enterprise Group (HCG). In addition, Baidu HCG will continue to provide one-stop health management services from health science popularization, medical decision-making to medical services, and provide customized "digital intelligence" solutions for medical institutions and medical practitioners.

According to reports, GBI will launch a new business intelligence service section after deeply integrating Baidu HCG's powerful data, technology and resources. This section will help industry-wide users and closed-loop business decisions through think tanks, patient behavior insight, and marketing analysis.

According to public data, GBI was founded in Shanghai in 2002 to focus on the Chinese and Latin American markets, and aims to build a diversified portfolio of market intelligence solutions for pharmaceutical and equipment companies and other service providers. Its main products include SOURCE drug database, METRIX researcher database, DEVINT medical device database, global market access and pricing strategy, and customized consulting services.
