CTOnews.com February 14, Microsoft announced last year the expansion of a new Engage module for Microsoft Viva. The module has been deeply integrated into Teams to help users create communities and external contacts.

Microsoft then further expanded the Engage module of Viva to introduce Communities Hub, Storyline and Stories functions. These functional modules can be thought of as enhanced versions of existing Yammer Communities, so Microsoft today announced that Yammer has officially developed into Viva Engage with a new experience.

In addition to rebranding Yammer at the Inspire conference, Microsoft also announced a series of new experiences and features of Viva Engage. Today's announcement shows that these features are now available to Viva suites and Microsoft Viva Topics customers worldwide.

A new feature worth watching this time is Leadership Corner. CTOnews.com includes an introduction to this function: leaders can contact employees through discussions, storyline posts, events, etc., show employee resource groups and cultivate cultural space. It will also adopt an Ask Me Anything (AMA) style event designed to further increase participation.

Microsoft has also integrated a new Advanced Analytics to help users understand their impact and participation in Viva Engage over time. This will help them track progress and identify trends.
