CTOnews.com February 14, the current revelation is that Sony is trying to buy a game studio, which may be announced in the near future.

A few days ago, a Reddit user claimed to have evidence that Sony was making an acquisition and chose to remain silent. Another user, Lachschok, claimed that Sony may have acquired or is in the process of acquiring UK-based Ballistic Moon, based on a list of jobs available on PlayStation Studios Fans Twitter feed.

However, at the time of this writing, Ballistic Moon's job list has been removed from the link, which means that either the job list is wrong, or Sony does not intend to disclose it for the time being, or the relationship between the two is more like a partnership than an acquisition, similar to studios such as Kojima Productions.

According to public sources, Ballistic Moon, headquartered in south-east England, was founded in 2019 by former Supermassive Games employees who helped develop works such as till Dawn and the Rain. Of course, Supermassive Games was acquired by Nordisk Games last year.

Although Ballistic Moon has not announced any games at the time of writing, this job list and Twitter posts mention that they are developing an early development project based on Unreal engine 5, which means that the studio may work with Sony as a first-party or second-party developer if the acquisition rumors are true.
