CTOnews.com February 13 news, BYD recently said in an institutional survey, BYD new energy passenger cars have entered Japan, Germany, Australia, Brazil and other countries, footprint in more than 40 countries and regions, 2022 total exports of 55916 vehicles.

BYD's Thailand plant is expected to open in 2024, with an annual production capacity of about 150000 vehicles, and will produce cars in Thailand's home market, while radiating neighboring ASEAN countries and other regions.

According to previous reports by CTOnews.com, BYD's 2022 performance forecast shows that the company's annual operating income is expected to exceed 420 billion yuan in 2022, realizing a net profit of 16 billion yuan to 17 billion yuan belonging to shareholders of listed companies, an increase of 425.42% and 458.26% over the same period last year.

BYD said in the announcement that as a leader in the new energy vehicle industry, the company overcame the complex and severe external environment and the impact of many higher-than-expected factors, and achieved strong year-on-year growth in new energy vehicle sales, ranking first in global new energy vehicle sales.

Cui Dongshu, secretary general of the Carrier Association, said in a post on his official Wechat account that the trend of new energy vehicles in the world is strong in 2022, with sales of 14.11 million generalized new energy vehicles from January to December, of which 3.72 million are hybrid, accounting for 26%. Excluding the common hybrid, the trend of new energy passenger vehicles in the world is strong. From January to December 2022, the number of new energy passenger vehicles in the world reached 10.31 million, an increase of 63% over the same period last year. Of these, 1.25 million were sold in December, up 45 per cent from a year earlier.

Commercial vehicles account for only 4% of the world's new energy vehicles, with new energy passenger vehicles as the main body. From January to December 2022, China's new energy passenger vehicles accounted for 63% of the world's new energy, of which China accounted for 64% of the world's new energy vehicles in the fourth quarter.
