CTOnews.com, February 13, according to the China Aerospace Science and Technology Group, on January 17, 2023, Liang Jincai, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, adviser to the Science and Technology Committee of China Aerospace Science and Technology Group Co., Ltd., chief senior technical adviser of the eighth Academy of Sciences, and China's excellent air defense missile expert, died of illness at the East China Hospital in Shanghai at the age of 95.

Liang Jincai of ▲ Tuyuan China Aerospace Science and Technology Group has successively served as the deputy chief designer and chief designer of China's first semi-active homing guided medium-and low-altitude air defense missile series (Red Flag 61 and types A, B, and C), as well as the chief designer of Falcon 60 (N) ship-to-air missile weapon system, making important contributions to China's ship-to-air missile system and field air defense missile system, filling in two major gaps.

Liang Jincai has successively won one first prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, one third prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, two first prize of the ministerial Science and Technology Progress Award, one Honor Award of the Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, and one National Science Congress Award, as well as national "outstanding contributions of young and middle-aged experts", "National Outstanding Scientific and technological Workers" and "May 1 Labor Medal" and "Shanghai Labor Model".
