CTOnews.com, February 13, Taiwan's Economic Daily said that Apple contract manufacturer Pegatron has successfully won a higher-end iPhone 14 Pro assembly order, and even began mass shipments in January this year, which is expected to continue to win orders for the new iPhone 15 Pro series of high-end models.

At present, the iPhone 14 Pro production line of Pegatron Shanghai Changshuo Factory has become stable, and the output in February and March this year will be enlarged month by month.

In January this year, Heshuo's revenue was NT $124.608 billion (currently about 28.161 billion yuan), an increase of 10.50% month-on-month and 1.19% year-on-year, setting a new high for the same period in previous years and exceeding market expectations. Pegatron pointed out that the high revenue in January mainly benefited from the communications business.

According to the Economic Daily, the market expects Pegatron's January revenue to rise against the trend, mainly due to the old Apple iPhone 13 and some iPhone 14 Pro transfer orders.

Looking forward to this year, Pegatron believes that overall operations will grow slightly, but new businesses such as automotive electronics and communications products are expected to continue to grow.

CTOnews.com inquiry found that Pegatron initially received some iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus assembly orders from Apple last year and is the main contract manufacturer for iPhone 14 Plus. However, under the influence of Apple's high pricing, the overall sales of the iPhone 14 Plus were poor, which also dragged down the performance of the main contract manufacturer Pegatron in the fourth quarter of last year.

According to the industry, when the production capacity of iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max of Hon Hai, the largest contract manufacturer of iPhone, was affected, Apple was considering opening a wider range of diversified production and releasing some high-end orders to Pegatron and Lixun Precision in order to avoid production risks, which also gave Pegatron and Lixun a chance. It seems that Pegatron successfully seized this opportunity.
