CTOnews.com, February 12 (Xinhua)-- Ericsson has unveiled its enhanced Wireless access Network (RAN) and Transport (Transport) portfolio. 10 new solutions will be on display at the Ericsson booth in Hall 2 of the Barcelona Convention and Exhibition Center (Fira Gran Via) from February 27 to March 2 at MWC23.

Ericsson launched Radio 4485, a tri-band wireless product that supports FDD (frequency division duplex). Compared with similar products, Radio 4485 reduces weight by 53% and energy consumption by about 22%. New dual-band and single-band wireless products have also been launched.

Ericsson also launched a series of new broadband Massive MIMO wireless products led by the industry's first ultra-wideband AIR 6476. The wireless product provides 600MHz instantaneous bandwidth, doubling the capacity without increasing the antenna footprint.

Ericsson 600MHz Massive MIMO wireless products will also be unveiled, using Ericsson's unique interference sensing beamforming, with a capacity increase of up to 40 per cent. The software supports a full range of hardware products.

In addition, new mobile transport products have been added to the updated portfolio. The new four-carrier microwave product MINI-LINK 6321 can support the transmission capacity of 4.8Gbps using a single system in the traditional 6~42GHz band, which aims to provide operators with a more convenient RAN evolution scheme. Compared with the previous scheme used to build four-carrier microwave links, this product has reduced footprint and energy consumption by about 50%.

The new four-carrier microwave products quadruple the transmission capacity and support MINI-LINK deep sleep function.

The new portfolio also includes:

Intelligent community shaping function | Intelligent Cell Shaping: Ericsson's original intelligent automation software can expand coverage and increase downlink speed at the edge of the community by 35%.

Multi-carrier cooperative energy-saving function | Booster Carrier Sleep: an energy-saving software function that can be turned on and off according to the traffic load.

MINI-LINK Deep hibernation feature | MINI-LINK Radio Deep Sleep: this feature enables energy saving in mobile transmission. When peak capacity is not needed, the energy consumption of wireless products can be reduced by up to 25% through the hibernation function.

New cell base station router Router 6676: with high-density 25GE interface, energy efficiency is three times higher than the previous generation router, and supports docking with Ericsson's new Massive MIMO wireless products.

CTOnews.com has learned that the new product portfolio will be available in the first quarter of 2023 and 2024.
