Pegatron pointed out that the high revenue in January mainly benefited from the communications business. According to the Taiwan Economic Daily, the market expects Pegatron's revenue to rise in January, mainly due to the old Apple iPhone 13 and some iPhone 14 Pro transfer orders.

In addition, Pegatron shipped 35-400000 notebooks in January, down 30% from the previous month and 50% less than the same period last year, mainly due to reduced working days and traditional seasonal off-season factors. CTOnews.com learned that looking forward to this year, Pegatron believes that overall operations will grow slightly, but new businesses such as automotive electronics and communications products are expected to continue to grow.

Taiwan media pointed out that Pegatron initially took part of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus assembly orders from Apple last year and was the main contract manufacturer for iPhone 14 Plus. However, the poor sales of the iPhone 14 Plus caused by Apple's wrong pricing strategy also dragged down the performance of Pegatron, the main contract manufacturer, in the fourth quarter of last year.

When the production capacity of iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max of Hon Hai, the largest contract manufacturer of iPhone, was affected, Apple released some high-end orders to Pegatron and Lixun Precision to avoid production risk.

For the first quarter of this year, Pegatron said it expected the results of the communications business, which is dominated by iPhone assembly, to be "not weak in the off-season", the same as revenue performance in the fourth quarter of last year.
