Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
CTOnews.com, February 12 (Xinhua)-- the electric car startup based in Pune, India, announced the launch of India's first solar electric vehicle, the Vayve Eva.
Start-up Vayve Mobility has announced plans to launch India's first solar-powered electric car, the Eva, in 2024 and begin delivery in mid-2024.
As can be seen from the picture, the Vayve Eva is an ultra-small city commuter car that can accommodate two adults and one child. The Eva is equipped with a bunch of solar panels with a rated power of 150W on the roof, which can add 10 to 12 kilometers of mileage every day. The Vayve Eva is also equipped with a 14kWh battery pack with a total range of 250km and can be fully charged within four hours using a home wall outlet charger.
The Vayve Eva looks different from a traditional car in that it has a narrow and tall body, a smaller rear wheel distance than the front wheel, a contrasting color design and LED lights on the front and rear.
CTOnews.com learned that the Vayve Eva is equipped with a 6kW motor with a maximum output power of 12kW or 16hp and a torque of 40Nm, which supports acceleration from zero to 40 km / h in 5 seconds and a top speed of 70 km / h. The powertrain is assisted by a liquid cooling system and supports IP68 protection.
Nilesh Bajaj, chief executive of Vayve, claimed that the design of the vehicle had been going on for some time and that the company had been trying to achieve a car weighing about 550kg with solar panels of sufficient size. He says Indian users drive an average of 30km a day, while solar panels alone contribute about 30 per cent of their mileage.
