Sun Li said that by means of science and technology, using 5G smart sensors to create an "electronic ID card" for the manhole cover, establish electronic files, carry out accurate monitoring and management of the manhole cover, and improve the level of fine and scientific management of the manhole cover. As early as 2021, it was mentioned in the "three-year Action Plan for the Special renovation of Shaft covers in Urban Public areas of Henan Province (2021-2023)" issued by the Provincial Housing and Construction Department that the manhole covers after renovation will have their own "electronic ID card". That is, a unified and standardized manhole cover logo, including serial number, category, product type, implementation standard, specification material, bearing grade, production date, management unit and other related information. Set up the electronic files of "one way, one file, one cover, one number, one well and one ownership". Areas with conditions will also be combined with the intelligent upgrading of manhole covers, the use of the Internet of things, big data, cloud computing and other new technologies to gradually improve the efficiency and level of safety management of manhole covers.

In July last year, a number of manhole covers in Luohe City were upgraded to smart manhole covers with "electronic ID cards". These manhole covers are equipped with advanced 5G intelligent modules, which can send out alarm in time by monitoring abnormal vibration, tilt, high temperature, and water level reaching warning value. When any of the above anomalies occur, the 5G intelligent manhole cover system will immediately transmit the information to the monitoring platform for early warning.

In addition, CTOnews.com learned that in 2022, Henan completed 13.79 billion yuan in new digital infrastructure construction and opened 56000 new 5G base stations, exceeding the target of "40,000 new 5G base stations" set in the provincial government's work report ahead of schedule, and the total number of 5G base stations reached 153200, realizing continuous coverage of 5G networks in areas above townships.
