CTOnews.com February 11 news, Lectric launched the latest XP Trike electric freight tricycle, rugged, priced at $1499 (currently about 10208 yuan), including all accessories. XP Trike pre-order is now open and shipments will begin in May.

The technology of this electric tricycle is the same as that of the Lectric XP two-wheeled series, except that a third wheel is added. There is a differential rear axle at the rear end of the frame.

Instead of using a mid-drive motor, Lectric XP Trike uses a rear hub motor to greatly reduce costs. The motor has a nominal power rating of 500W but a peak power of 1092W, ensuring that tricycles can climb the steepest slopes on all kinds of terrain.

The XP Trike has a sizeable battery with 48V, 14-Ah parameters, and ranges from 40 miles per charge to 60 miles per charge, depending on speed control and the auxiliary level chosen.

CTOnews.com learned that in terms of practicality, the XP Trike has a payload of 188kg and comes standard with a front basket and rear luggage rack. This means that users can tie accessories to the back of tricycles, such as baskets, child seats and suitcases, while there is still plenty of room to put groceries in front.
