According to the page description, the Standard mode provides recommended output for "balancing processing speed, battery life, and heat dissipation". The Light mode is "compared to the processing speed, pay more attention to battery life and heat dissipation effect."

Golden Reviewer tests show that when the Cortex-X3 kernel of Galaxy S23 Ultra switches from Standard to Light, the clock speed slows down from 3.36 GHz to 2.84 GHz.

The performance of the Prime core also declined, from 60.86 points of SPECint06 Big Core to 55.12 points. The power consumption is reduced from 4.90 W to 2.97 W.

The above data show that Samsung's Light mode is 90% of the Standard performance, which significantly improves the battery life of the Galaxy S23.

The performance score of Galaxy S23 Ultra in Light mode decreased by 15%.

The score for issuing orders in Standard mode is 1604 points, and the multi-core score is 5311 points.

The score for issuing orders in Light mode is 1377 points, and the multi-core score is 4896 points.

From the point of view of running points, the performance of Samsung Galaxy S23 series will drop by 10-15% after turning on Light mode, thus improving efficiency and extending battery life. Even in Light mode, the Galaxy S23 series still outperforms Android phones with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 + Gen 1.
