This update introduces a whole new taskbar search, optimized two-factor authentication (2FA), and a large number of optimizations. Microsoft initially said it had solved the problem that the installation of the update took longer than expected, but Microsoft has now withdrawn that claim.

The Microsoft blog said it had moved the issue back to a known issue and was investigating. Some users experience longer update times than expected when installing the latest version. If the user encounters this problem, please submit a new feedback project and log in the feedback center.

CTOnews.com learned that Microsoft is also investigating reports that there is a newer version of Windows Update on the Windows Insider Program settings page, even though users have upgraded to the latest version of Dev channel.
