CTOnews.com, February 10, China Automotive Power Battery Industry Innovation Alliance today released the monthly data of power battery in January 2023.

In terms of production, in January 2023, China's power battery production totaled 28.2GWh, down 5.0% from the same period last year and 46.3% from the previous month. Among them, ternary battery output 9.8GWh, accounting for 34.8% of the total output, down 9.3% from the same period last year, down 46.9% from the previous year; lithium iron phosphate battery output 18.3GWh, accounting for 65.0% of the total output, down 2.5% from the same period last year, down 46.0% from the previous year.

In terms of loading capacity, in January, China's power battery load 16.1GWh, down 0.3% from the same period last year, down 55.4% from the previous month. Among them, ternary battery 5.4GWh accounted for 33.7% of the total installed capacity, down 25.6% from the same period last year and 52.4% from the previous year; lithium iron phosphate battery 10.7GWh accounted for 66.2% of the total installed capacity, up 20.4% from the same period last year and 56.7% from the previous year.

In January, a total of 35 power battery enterprises in China's new energy vehicle market were equipped with vehicles, which was the same as last year. CTOnews.com learned that the top 3, top 5 and top 10 power battery companies installed 13.5GWh, 14.7 GWh and 15.7GWh respectively, accounting for 83.5%, 91.2% and 97.6% of the total installed capacity, respectively.

In terms of exports, in January, China's power battery enterprises exported a total of 7.9GWh. Among them, ternary batteries exported 5.4GWh, accounting for 67.7% of the total exports; lithium iron phosphate batteries exported 2.6GWh, accounting for 32.1% of the total exports.

In addition, the China Automotive Power Battery Industry Innovation Alliance also announced the top 15 domestic power battery installed companies in January. Among them, Ningde era ranked first with 44.41%, while BYD ranked second with 34.12%. China New Airlines, Yiwei Lithium Energy, Guoxuan Hi-Tech, Xin Wanda, LG New Energy, Honeycomb Energy, Funeng Technology, Zhengli Xinneng, Jiewei Power, Duofudo, Lishen, Penghui Energy and Ruipu Lanjun ranked third to 15th respectively.
