Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
CTOnews.com, February 10 (Xinhua)-- India has recovered from the failure of its first flight in August 2022 and launched its new rocket, SSLV, today. This one was launched from the Sattistavan Space Center and finally three satellites were deployed to the corresponding orbit as planned.
The rocket carried the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) EOS-07 Earth observation satellite and two cube satellites and put it into a designated orbit (450km) 15.5minutes after liftoff.

According to the ISRO mission description, the 344lb (156kg) EOS-07 is an experimental satellite whose mission goal is to develop and demonstrate new instruments, including millimeter wave humidity detectors and spectrum monitoring payloads, in the short term, and they will use this satellite to observe Earth for at least a year.
In addition to EOS-07, the other two satellites are 22.5lb (10.2kg) Janus-1 and 19.7lb (8.7kg) AzaadiSAT-2.
According to ISRO's mission description, Janus-1, built by Antaris, an Indian-American company, is a technology demonstration "smart satellite".
AzaadiSAT-2 is jointly developed by hundreds of female students from across India to demonstrate LoRa and amateur radio communication capabilities, measure radiation levels in space and demonstrate scalable satellite structures.
According to public information, the SSLV is a four-stage rocket, 112ft (34m) high. According to ISRO, it can launch up to 1100 pounds of carriers into low-Earth orbit, which was scheduled to be launched in 2018, but has been delayed several times due to outbreaks and other reasons.
According to reports, the rocket can be assembled within 72 hours with a team of 5-6 people, and its cost is at least 1/10 of that of the rockets currently in use. It can be launched into space every week, and it is a rocket designed specifically for small and micro-satellites, which currently account for more than 90% of all satellites launched by India. For information about the launch failure last year, please see the CTOnews.com report "the first flight of the Indian SSLV carrier rocket failed and the telemetry signal was lost in the last stage."
