Berkshire Hathaway reduced its stake in 105.8 million BYD H shares on January 3, with an average price of 191.44 Hong Kong dollars per share, with a total value of about 203 million Hong Kong dollars. 155.45 million BYD H shares were sold on January 27, valued at HK $351.81 million.

On September 29, 2008, Berkshire Hathaway subscribed 225 million BYD shares in Hong Kong for $230 million at HK $8 a share. On August 24, 2022, Buffett, who had held shares for 14 years, reduced his holdings for the first time.

BYD sold a total of 1868543 cars in 2022. BYD sold 151341 new energy vehicles in January 2023, up 62.44% from January 2022.
